American Latina in Spain

Hey guys! ❤❤❤ SO sorry for not writing in forever because first my laptop cable would not charge and I had to wait until we went to Madrid for my Genius Bar appointment with Apple and secondly I have been fairly busy since I've come back from Madrid and now being in Santander again. I have tons to tell!!! I doubt it will all fit into one blog :) I'll start with before leaving for Madrid because I don't think I went into much detail about my surf class. So I joined a Surf class for a week and it was absolutely AWESOME! There was a group of girls in my class, all younger than me, but I didn't mind because they were all nice to me. The instructor knew English in case I needed it and he was very funny. This was really my first time being by myself in Spain without my mom and speaking Spanish by myself! First Few Days in España!❤ Hey! I'm finally in Spain! I've actually been here for 3-4 days, can't remember how many exactly- it's that vacation brain :). Anyway, it has been a whirlwind, my apartment is absolutely adorable; one, it has 2 semi balconies which are perfect for people watching, two I have never lived in a real city and since we are so close to the street I get to experience city noises and people passing by and thirdly it's like an urban dream apartment! I get to climb 4 flights of stairs and get to open this really heavy wooden door, it's like being a city gal. The first day I got here I was feeling VERY overwhelmed and severely homesick, however the next day my mom and I went out to explore and after having lunch I started to soften up- I even asked where the bathrooms were in Spanish! I know, I know something stupid but baby steps are the way. My mom and I have now shopped for groceries and are eating more at home, and honestly it makes it fe...

Welcome!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ Hey guys, its G here and I'm super excited about documenting my trip to Spain that I'm about to go on as my summer vacation. I don't leave for a couple more weeks so I won't be blogging much in between then, but I will post some stuff before I leave for example my packing choices, nerves, etc. So anyways just a quick intro into who I am; I'm fairly shy(which kinda sucks because I'm about to go to another country and speak another language and I get shy even in english so...). Half of my family is from Venezuela so  that's where  the Latina part comes in and the learning to speak Spanish part.  Finally, some things I enjoy doing is playing volleyball and writing. There is supposed to be a beach league in Spain and I'm nervous/excited because I don't know if I wanna join a league or something.
